Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What dispatch services do you provide?

We provide personalized dispatch support for owner-operators and small carriers, including load sourcing, rate negotiation, broker communication, load-term verification, paperwork coordination, and ongoing load management from booking through delivery.

What equipment do you dispatch?

Currently, Malone Dispatch Services specializes in Dry Van dispatch.

We are intentionally focused on providing strong, reliable service within our current area of experience. Additional equipment types may be added as our services expand.

How do I get started?

Getting started is simple:

1. Contact Malone Dispatch Services to discuss your operation and dispatch needs.

2. Review and sign the Dispatch Service Agreement if MDS is a good fit for your business.

3. Complete your carrier profile and provide the required onboarding documents.

4. MDS will review your information, operating preferences, and dispatch readiness.

5. Once onboarding is complete, we can begin sourcing Dry Van freight based on your availability and preferences.

You remain in control of your truck and make the final decision on every load we offer.

Do you negotiate rates?

Yes. We negotiate directly with brokers on your behalf based on the load, current market conditions, and your operating preferences. We also review important load terms before presenting the opportunity to you for approval.

How much do you charge?

Malone Dispatch Services charges a 5% dispatch fee on MDS-sourced loads that you accept and successfully deliver. The fee applies to line-haul and fuel surcharge amounts and does not include accessorial or reimbursement payments such as detention, layover, TONU, or lumper fees.

There are no upfront fees, and you are never required to accept a load we source.

Do I have to accept every load?

No. You always have the final decision on every load. MDS will present the load details and material terms for your review, and we will not book an MDS-sourced load without your approval.

How will we communicate?

We communicate by phone, text, and email for load offers, booking details, appointment information, status updates, document requests, and important changes throughout a load. During onboarding, we'll also document your preferred communication method.

What documents do I need?

Required documents may vary based on your operation, but typically include:

• MC and DOT information
• Certificate of Insurance
• W-9
• Factoring or remittance information, if applicable
• Notice of Assignment, if applicable
• Signed Dispatch Service Agreement
• Other information needed to verify dispatch readiness
